| Mode | Description |

Manual (Capture)
Screen Shot |
This is where you manually create picture files in BMP, EMF, PCX, PNG, PSD, JPG, TGA, TIF, WMF and WBMP formats. A time interval can be defined and activated to capture pictures every so many seconds/minutes/hours. Motion detection can be activated to capture pictures when movement is sensed. Color detection can be activated to capture pictures when defined colors are found. File detection can be activated to import files after they are created by other software applications. |
|
Manual (Modify)
Screen Shot |
Once files are captured or imported, they can be modified with the following effects: Blur, Brightness, Contrast, Dither, Emboss, Flip Left to Right, Flip Top to Bottom, Gray Scale, Mosaic, Negative, Resize, Rotate, Sharpen, Text and Encrypt. Any amount of effects can be applied and in any order you desire. |
|
Manual (Send)
Screen Shot |
Here is where you manually send picture and movie files to email addresses. CamExpand puts the picture or movie file into your email applications outbox. You can also FTP picture, movie and web page files to your own web site. These functions can also be setup to automatically execute immediately after a picture or movie is created. The web page file is created according to a web page template that you design. |
|
Program
Screen Shot |
Every operation that can be executed manually through the user interface can also be executed by creating programs. The programs are text based and can be as long as 1000 lines. The camera commands are executed from top to bottom. These programs can be created using any word processor or text editor or you can use the built in program editor. |
|
Schedule
Screen Shot |
The built in scheduler allows you to enter dates and times so programs can be executed automatically when you desire. Each schedule can contain up to 200 programs and they can be saved to disk. |
|
Trigger
Screen Shot |
CamExpand can be set up to watch a trigger directory for text files. All you have to do is enter a directory on your computer or a network drive where text files will be sent. Any word processor or text editor can be used to control the camera by saving text files to the trigger directory. You can use a set of special commands that allow you to run or stop predefined programs or schedules stored on the CamExpand hard drive. This gives you the ability to control your camera from any computer on your network or with any script or programming language that is able to create text files. |
|
Remote
Screen Shot |
This is where you tell CamExpand to watch your email applications inbox for special commands. You can use a set of special commands that allow you to run or stop predefined programs or schedules stored on the CamExpand hard drive. The only emails that are opened are those that match subject line text which is defined by you. This gives you the ability to control your cameras from anywhere in the world. |
|
Preferences
Screen Shot |
This area allows you to define your working directory where movie, picture and web files will be stored. This is also where program developers can configure tracking of important events that occur while CamExpand is running. |
